James is a volunteer parent who had two boys in CSS programs. Liam start sailing in the summer fun program and Summer race team at age 11, and joined the interscholastic program immediately in the fall. He was captain of the Detroit Country Day School Team from his Freshman year in High School. The DCDS team won the National final the first season after his graduation.

After two seasons in sailing Finn moved to soccer where he was the starting varsity goalkeeper as a freshman, a three time all-state representative, reaching the state final in his junior year and captaining his team in his senior year.

James worked as a consultant in IT, education and leadership roles for Apple and the University of Melbourne, where he managed the web presence of 20+ student services organizations.

James’ wife Kiersten was an executive for the Ford Motor Company and his family has lived in Australia, Germany, China and the United States. They will repatriate to Australia this year.
