CSS Sailors Grow, Gain Experience, and Pass the Reins at Baker National Qualifier

This past weekend at the Baker National Qualifier, our sailors showed what CSS is truly about.

Senior captains from both DCD and Troy led with patience and purpose, guiding their younger teammates through the demands of high level team racing. More importantly, they recognized when it was time to step back, giving their teammates the opportunity to take the helm and skipper while they supported as crew.

That level of selflessness defines our program. It is not just about results. It is about leaving the team stronger and preparing the next generation to compete at this level.

I am incredibly proud of all 14 sailors who competed, earned race wins, and maintained a positive mindset throughout a challenging event. The growth in just 48 hours was remarkable.

A special shoutout to our senior captains Krish, Ashwin, Maya, and Julia for leading and uplifting their teams all weekend. Great job Oliver, Tabitha, Rithwik, Laura, Scarlet, Aveline, Shiv, Ethan, Jasper, Alex

Moments like this are why CSS continues to develop not just stronger sailors, but stronger teams year after year.
